“Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’…” – Alfred Lord Tennyson
I love that quote from Tennyson. I love to think that next year is going to be happier — especially when this year was such a good one.
It’s always fun to look over blog posts to create an annual “year-end review” post. Though I’ve felt like I haven’t done as good of a job documenting things, this year’s trip down memory lane is no exception. Here are just a few favorite highlights.
I burned breakfast…which resulted in one of my favorite blog posts of all time.
So many random heart sightings this year. And another happy post.
There was brunch with my little buddy and the Easter Bunny.
More heart sightings.
And running. This year was filled with running and races.
Seventeen races in all, including St. Patrick’s Day run…
…and my first marathon.
There were many trips to the Botanical Garden, including the Lantern Festival…
…and more running. Small races…
…and a big race with my bestie.
…and bubbles.
Adventures at home…
…adventures that were several hours away…
…and an adventure of a lifetime.
I learned a thing or two…
…and enjoyed the rumpus.
There was a second marathon and a Windy City adventure.
Followed by fall gorgeousness…
…a family Halloween…
…and a visit to a special ranch.
Yet more running.
I had an inspirational adventure.
There were holiday lights with buddies…
…and my boys.
I did a little bit of baking…
…and loving the lights.
Which brings us to now, on the threshold of a new year. Looking forward to even more adventures and joy in 2016.
Past year-end reviews: 2012 and 2010. 2013 is here and 2014 is here. Apparently I didn’t post a review in 2011.
Beautiful You have seen so many beautiful things this year Thank you
