Each of these little wildflower blossoms is about the size of a dime, but collectively they look like a massive white carpet. And right now they are all over the park, making the hills look like they have a fresh dusting of snow.
But today is the first time I’ve ever really looked at these little blooms up close. I had no idea they were so beautiful! Or so pink/fuchsia*/purple!

Aren’t they the sweetest?

What a gorgeous day – so gorgeous that I was able to put the top down for the drive to the park. Which of course makes Finnegan a very happy copilot.

I’m so sad to see this weekend come to a close.
But here is a wish for the week ahead, a gem I spotted on Instagram:
May you find some kind of beauty wherever you are, and may it ease your heart. When you feel as lost as the glasses you just had on, may you remember that you are in this moment, right here, in all its magnificently glorious complexity, and you are exactly where you need to be. You can handle it. Plus, your glasses are probably on your head. May you be quick to laugh and slow to judge. May your temper be cool, may your burdens be few, and may your coffee be fresh and plentiful. – Nanea Hoffman
*Not only did I discover what these flowers look like up close today, I also learned that I’ve been misspelling fuchsia my entire life. I thought it was either fuschia. So there’s that.
