“What makes you different is what makes you beautiful.”

Or in the case of the little bird perched at the top of the tree, being “different” meant being a lot less crowded.
I loved this image so much when I got it home and really looked at it. I’d taken it with my phone out my car window while sitting at a stoplight. That little bird cracked me up because he could be viewed through so many different lenses: He’s a non-conformist; “I’m not sitting with all those dumb birds.” – OR – He’s an outcast; “No one will let me sit next to them.” – OR- He’s the boss; “I’ve got my homies lined up behind me and they’re ready to put a hurt on anything and anyone who messes with me.”
Of course it’s probably more likely that he was clueless and just needed a comfortable place to land. But I liked creating a narrative. That’s so much more fun.
