These seemingly random photos are actually related. They complete my fifth annual “day in a life” photo project. (First project link here; second project link here; third project here and fourth project here).
From the time I got up to the end of the day, I took one photo an hour (when it was possible) to document details of a single day. Five years later, my life still isn’t vaguely significant or interesting, but I still value this personal exercise in awareness and gratitude. Although I have to admit that it’s not always easy to make the time all day to look for it, acknowledge it, and appreciate it thoroughly enough to document it. Interestingly enough, I completed this project on the same work trip as last year’s project – they even had one photo in common. Again, quality isn’t the goal. Simply observation.
