This morning I got a cryptic text from my beloved and blissfully retired former boss. She gave me specific directions to something she wanted me to see, but wouldn’t tell me what I was looking for — only that I would know it when I saw it and it was amazing.
The location was just beyond the Delmar Loop, so I had NO idea what it could be. But I couldn’t wait to find out, so I set out at lunch today. As always, my friend was correct. I knew exactly when I’d arrived and it was nothing short of awesome.
Fields of sunflowers — thousands of them — right in the city. I wandered around with my mouth open, trying to take it all in. Bees were oblivious of me — they’d found gold. Butterflies…birds…breezes…it was magical.
Thank you, Suzy. Best. Gift. Ever.
That is SOOO amazing! I’d love to see that in person.
