Many Thanks

“Do not complain about growing old. It is a privilege denied to many.” – Mark Twain

I’m on the cusp of a new trip around the sun. Age has definitely brought about some changes – especially in recent years. A few new wrinkles…a few new pounds…a few new aches and pains…weird sleeping patterns. Sometimes it’s kind of discouraging.

While I don’t always enjoy looking in the mirror, experiencing aching joints or waking up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason, I can’t help but feel blessed beyond reason. Age has meant that I’ve watched my children thrive as adults. Learn new skills. Read more books. Create new things. Have new adventures. See more sunsets.

So as I’m gifted a new year and new opportunities, I can only move forward with offers of prayers of thanks.
