Rainy Sunday

“May you do what is right and kind, for others and yourself. May you attend to your responsibilities but also remember to make time for rest and play. May you listen for what your heart tells you is true and let it guide you. May your coffee and your humor be strong and plentiful, and may you find something to hope for, even if you have to squint to see it.” – Nanea Hoffman

Started the morning with a rainy walk in the park – and more than one unexpected reason to smile. Day six surprises include:

  • An iris appearing for a fall encore
  • A hawk taking a nose-dive into the grand basin and snagging breakfast
  • A beautiful composition
  • A tiny Sunday sermon and offering

And because yesterday was a rather full day, here is day five: champagne reduction on the stove, clearly feeling no pain. Not shown: resulting mimosa cupcakes that were suuuuper tasty.
