You know, I always thought I was a fairly observant person — until I got a puppy.
Everything is brand new to this guy. And I do mean everything. A crow’s cackle, a firetruck’s siren, a squirrel’s chatter…everything requires a pause and thorough investigation. And he doesn’t miss a thing. He forces me to slow down and take it all in (mostly because his nose is glued to the ground). Thanks to him, I’ve spotted the first of this year’s crocus blooms in the neighborhood, as well as a leaf impression in the concrete road that I’ve run over along my route at least a thousand times.
Looking forward to more adventures and introducing him to new things.
Always nice to have a new guide to point out the things in life we may have come accustomed to or just too busy to see.
