Happy

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery — air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, ‘This is what it is to be happy.'” – Sylvia Plath

Swap out “lake” for “mountains” and this quote describes my morning run today.

Of course with a cell phone camera, it’s hard to do the scenery justice.

The above photo is missing at least another half dozen deer that crossed our path — including several more babies.  Below was a photo I took from the parking lot upon my arrival as I watched this eagle snag his breakfast right out of the water.

Even if the photos are bad, some days are just good.
