What is it about these sweet, happy little Yuletide chocolate bears that brings out the meanie vandal in some people? Last year, it was the big bears on the store shelf. Two days, two trips to Michael’s and one trip to the hardware store (and countless replays of Elf) later, our tree is up and the house is fully decorated — inside and out. The biggest source of time suckage? Unpacking our ornaments. Every year I can’t figure out how we could possibly fit more ornaments…

A single, stubborn, seasonally challenged azalea blossom on a nearby bush is proudly displaying itself. Brave little guy, but adding a bit of confusion to the fa-la-la we’ve got going on here at our house.

Hazy, Lazy Morning
So I woke up early this morning and noticed a thick haze out our windows. It looked like a dream. Fearing that the fog would soon burn off, I snagged a camera and ran out the door. I ran out the door and apparently left my brain behind. I was wearing flannel and no shoes….
