Yup, it was a thriller.

After lots of anticipation, we finally got to see the Michael Jackson The Immortal Tour by Cirque du Soleil last night! It was Tanner’s first Cirque show and only my second. And it was AH-mazing.
We both really loved it.
It was a little different from the Cirque that I’m familiar with in that the performances revolved around the music rather than the music existing to support the performances.
But it was nothing less than stunning.
We were particularly floored by some of the acrobatic performances in the second half of the show. I don’t think we bothered picking up our jaws for a good 45 minutes.
Wonderful music, wonderful message and meaning.
And totally over the top.
It was a fitting tribute to this sweet, ever-so-complicated, and extraordinarily talented man.

So glad you have fun! I saw the Beattles Love show in Vegas and the performance completely told the story of the music so I am sure they are both similar in that regard.

  2. I was telling Tanner that they'd done a Beatles performance as well, but I didn't know what it was like. I'll have to tell him that you went!!
