“There’s a big difference between empty fatigue and gratifying exhaustion. So don’t just settle. Life is too short.

Study your daily habits and routines, figure out where your time and energy goes,

…then remove needless distractions.

It is time to focus more on what matters most.” – @marcandangel

Lately I have to admit that I’ve been burning the candle at both ends and wearing myself out. But then I saw this quote and had to ask myself — is it empty fatigue or gratifying exhaustion that I’m feeling. And if I’m being completely honest, it’s a little of both. It’s time to do an inventory and be a lot more selective about how I’m investing my energy for the remainder of the holiday season. More joy and gratifying exhaustion. Less empty nonsense.

I prefer to be happily distracted by scenes such as these from yesterday’s walk. All three of these funky faces were within a foot of each other. It was there strangest thing.
