Three words: Gingkos are magic.

It’s not often that I have to wait for people in the park to leave my frame so I can take a photo of something, but the gingkoes had a lot of people stopping in their tracks and wandering off the paths.

Little kids tossed leaf piles in the air like snow and Finn rolled around like he was on the yellow carpet. So much joy.

And it was all over the park — not just a tree or two.

Magic. Yellow magic.

(Of course I can say and think this because I don’t have to do the raking or leaf blowing.)

Day 3 of the 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge: A holiday you love.
Answer: Thanksgiving. And not just because it’s top of mind and my next day off. Thanksgiving is all about family, food and gratitude. A perfect trifecta.
