In less than a week, I’ve seen two different rainbows under completely different conditions.
Friday after work, I went to the camera shop during a downpour. On my way out, the salesman saw sunlight through the front door and he immediately bolted outside with a coworker to look for a rainbow. The conditions were perfect and you could almost predict it was coming.
And sure enough…
A big ole end-to-end double.
But then, this morning, there was no precipitation whatsoever.
And yet…
There it was, albeit ever so briefly, on my way to work.
So which is more meaningful — the rainbow that you can predict or the one that appears when you have no reason to expect it?
Does it really matter? Either way, there’s nothing else to do but say thank you. You never take a rainbow for granted.
