Times they are a-changin’ for HERoes. They can wear pink capes and tiaras. And play with dolls from a line of DC Superhero Girls. They can aspire to save the world and be their fearless yet feminine little badass selves.

For my generation, however, our hero – the Princess of Princesses – has passed away. Our brave, beautiful, outspoken, hilarious, strong, flawed, badass Princess.

Darn it, we loved you. But you knew that.
