“To help heal others, you must first heal thyself. To do this, you must practice being gentle in all areas of life. Release all emotions that no longer serve you.
Replace guilt with acceptance, swap fear for love. Have a warm and caring heart. Every cell in your body radiates peace and, because of this, you now become an example of peace to others. Be gentle with thyself.”
LOVE this quote from Tiny Devotions’ Instagram feed. It sums up so much of what I focused on in my first ever “Intention Board” that I made to start the new year. I’ve included a detail of my board in the first photo.
If you’ve never heard of one, an intention board (or vision board) is typically a poster board on which you paste images or words that you’ve torn out of various publications or magazines. It’s super easy. The idea behind this is that when you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, or what you want to do, your life will evolve to reflect those images and those desires. If you haven’t done one, it’s really a fun exercise. I created one to give me some direction and bring my goals into focus — with something tangible. I love my board so much that I’ve framed it and hung it in my bedroom so I can be reminded every day.
Second photo? Just some chip love. Just because.
