Not too long ago, I made a list of things I wanted to do in my hometown this winter to “travel in place.” Tonight, the kids and I crossed “Winter Wonderland in Tilles Park” off the list. I didn’t get a lot of photos, but it didn’t matter because the house shown above was the real show stopper this evening.
They do this every year and I think it’s really gorgeous. It’s over the top, but it’s tasteful. Everything works together with the house to form a single festive composition. It’s not a bunch of plastic nativities or random inflatables strewn about the yard. Every detail, right down to the mechanical Santa’s Workshop is thoughtful and delightful.
I don’t know what prompts someone to put this much work into something that strangers will enjoy, but I’m glad they do it.
Can’t wait to keep making our way through the rest of our list!
