No Binoculars Necessary

The internet is stunning. Seriously stunning.

For all of its dark places and pitfalls, the internet can deliver so many gifts, a dizzying amount of information…even miracles. Check out the Hawk Cam from the New York Times. Here, you can watch redtail hawks Bobby and Rosie raise their young — on the 12th floor of a university library right smack in the middle of the city.

Then there’s the eagle’s nest I’d referenced a few days ago. Looks like their little ones are finished hatching.

Right here in Missouri, there is the Peregrine Falcon webcam brought to us by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

And, my personal favorite, this hummingbird’s nest.

Amazing things can happen when power is used for the greater good.
I love these people who take it upon themselves to bring the wonder of nature to the masses in such a miraculous, yet respectful way.
