This is Rory. She lives at a Farm Sanctuary shelter in New York after having been rescued from a flood in 2008. She is described as “jubilant and friendly,” her favorite foods are “Pears and Rice Cakes,” and she was adopted by our family on November 26, 2010. This is her picture from the packet that arrived at our house today. Isn’t she just the loveliest little girl? I know I lobbied against a pig when we did this, but how can you not instantly fall in love with that face? I think she’s swell.
By the way. On a totally unrelated note, the monster drawing from yesterday’s post actually means something. Apparently I’m one of the few people who didn’t know about this. I still think that Flying Spaghetti Monster would make a great children’s book character.

I love Rory! And you're not alone – I've never heard of the spaghetti monster!

That makes me feel so much better! A few people at work were like, "Oh yeah. The Flying Spaghetti Monster." And went on to describe it in great detail. I just thought it was funny. 🙂
