A 30-minute excerpt from the weekend weather. Somewhere between the HARD rain and the Puffy white clouds, I went outside and my camera instantly fogged up. Made things look really hazy. 

So this morning I became a member of our new church. The boys were already members by virtue of their confirmation last year. This really isn’t newsworthy, but the experience was kind of funny. And I’m not even talking about the little boy in front of us with a mohawk or the white-haired woman with a fool’s tail (news flash: the 80’s really are over). When the kids were nice enough to stand with me in the receiving line after church, an old woman first shook hands with Drew. Eyes wide, she said, “Wow, you are a really cute boy!” And it was in this little giddy voice. Then she turned to Tanner and said, “Oh…and you’re cute, TOO. Are you brothers? Oh…what handsome boys!” She continued to gush and shake their hands in this goofy, bouncy way. She finally decided it was time to move on and turned to….the guy next to me. She skipped right over me! It was like I wasn’t even there. The boys and I just looked at each other, looked over at her, looked back at each other and just busted out laughing. Can’t say that we’ve ever seen anything quite like it.
