“Never apologize for your eccentricities. They’re your fingerprint.” – Diane Keaton

A lone tomato ripening on a vine draped over the wrong side of a privacy fence — with a heart-shaped leaf, I might add.

A blue rubber duck randomly perched on a curb.

An expressive garbage can.

A leaf showing off in the sun.
Without that little bit of extra-ness, we’d just have a wooden fence, a curb, a trash can, and a fallen leaf. Nothing memorable or even fun. But fortunately, each has …well…a fingerprint, which makes them worthy of a pause, a smile, a sniff (if you’re Finnegan), and a little bit of marveling. Who wants ordinary??
Eccentricities…extra-ness…not sorry.
