I wonder

“Sometimes I wonder:
What’s the point?
Why be good?
Why care?
Why try to change things?
Why — when we continue to wreck each other?

Yet, I keep moving forward.

Not because I am confident in any outcomes.
But because I am still susceptible to sweet things:
a sunset,
a cup of coffee,
a warm blanket,
the smell of lilacs,
the sound of my mother’s laughter –
and all the other forms of love.

Sometimes I wonder:
What would the world look like
if each of us decided to become
a form of love?”

A recent trip to New York yielded a few Phoebe sightings. I didn’t spot as many of her as I have in the past, but she’s still my favorite scavenger hunt.

Although I think I stumbled upon a new scavenger hunt on this trip. Not as cute as Phoebe, but almost as sassy and worthy of a smile. I’ll be searching for both during my next New York adventure.

    1. Hi there! There should be a share function (email or print buttons) at the bottom of the post online. I’ll see if there is another way to do it.
