New York State of Mind

A New York adventure with my younger son brought big fun…and LOTS of walking — exactly 30.1 miles in three days. Which meant some wonderful photo opportunities.

With sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s, we spent as much time outside as possible — including dinner in Times Square.

But here’s the real reason for the trip: Billy Joel’s 100th performance at Madison Square Garden.

How amazing was THAT? He even had Bruce Springsteen make a special appearance. If my life experiences had a highlight reel, this would definitely make the cut.

The next day we saw a taping of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. While I enjoyed it, I’m thinking this is a highlight reel event for my son. He was over the moon.

Here are a few more fun finds along the way.
