“One way to make the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure.”
At the close of our Oregon trip, we put Tanner on a plane back to his new graduate assistant position in Texas and went home for a day. Then we packed up the car and headed to Drew’s new job in Georgia.
I pulled out every stop to make the most of our limited time.
We stopped to see Superman.
We visited Savannah’s riverwalk.
And saw some little random notes of encouragement.
We wandered all over Savannah – and visited Forest Gump’s bench site. (Although the bench has since been removed from the square.)
And just enjoyed the trees.
We visited Tybee Beach.
And, after a visit to his new employer and a shopping trip to set up Drew’s new apartment, it was time for me to be dropped at the airport and go home. After many tears, I had a small smile and consolation of a fellow pug passenger on my flight.
And my adventure came to a close with a rainbow along my ride home from the airport.
After a day of catching up on sleep, I’m ready for new adventures. And thankful for so many memories just created.
