“Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” – Elliott Erwitt
It always fascinates me to look at my photo library on my phone after several days. Almost without exception, themes seem to emerge. Colors, subject matter, emotions…I never know quite what it all means, but I can almost always flush out the patterns.
Tonight when I went to transfer photos to my computer and clean up my phone, I had to chuckle at the photos from the past few days. The only discernible pattern is a scattered quirkiness and a lot of “huh?”. I have no idea what that means, but it kind of fits me lately: kind of all over the place, a little flawed, but not without humor.
My apple had a heart.
My Trader Joe’s has officially run out of things to pumpkin spice.
My annual Christmas chocolate assault sighting is already in the books and it’s not even Halloween. (Subtle, but Santa on the left had his belly pushed in.)
And then there was the t-rex talking on the cell phone at this weekend’s Halloween race.
I think I need a trip to the Botanical Garden or a walk around the park soon. I could use some nice, basic floral photos or something.
