I’ve learned since I started running that my inner photographer doesn’t co-exist easily with my inner runner. But over the years, I’ve learned how to make it work by taking “Distracted Runner” photos. The world looks entirely different on foot and I can’t decide if photography keeps me running or if running keeps me taking photos.
Either way, last night I took one of my all-time favorite “Distracted Runner” photos. As I approached this yard last night, I noticed what I thought was a lost scarf and a lost hat. But when I got right up on it, something seemed a little…different.
Charcoal pieces…two big sticks…a petrified carrot…what the…?
Aww…a snowman had melted here!!
I could not stop laughing. I spent the next mile or two piecing together “Frosty the Snowman” lyrics in my head.
This is all kinds of awesome!
