Been traveling quite a bit for work lately, bringing into sharp focus my total disdain for flying. Has nothing to do with being away from home or the work itself; I like adventures and I’m blessed with the sweetest colleagues I could possibly ask for. It really boils down to the physical process of flying: going through security, confining my toiletries to a zip lock baggie, departure times, arrival times, connecting flights, layovers, cabin pressure, fellow passengers who can’t seem to stay within their allotted space, blah, blah, blah. Ugh.
But I managed to keep myself pretty entertained during this latest trip. It all started with this little boy in the panda mask. Oh my, he was hilarious. You have no idea how much effort was required to snag this photo. This was the beginning of some really great people watching.
Aaannnddd….this was on the flight home. A grown man. A worn out stuffed animal peeking out of a back pack. No accompanying children. Wait. Whut? Again, I found myself laughing out loud. I was dying to know the story. Does this guy sleep with this animal??
And of course I ended up boarding the plane behind him. This was an exercise in restraint for me. I wanted to pet that animal so badly.
After an hour and a half delay prior to my first flight and a 45-minute delay on the tarmac on my second flight, I was finally able to turn my attention from people-watching to window-watching.
After some productive and enjoyable trips, I’m happy to be back on the ground.
I love the way you see the world.
~Love people. Cook them tasty food. ~Love bodies. Keep them strong. ~Love minds. Keep them centered. ~Love spirits. Keep them flowing. ~LOVE. Because we’re all connected.
