When we left our house on Christmas Eve morning, it was cold…and dry. But by the time we’d driven about thirty or forty minutes, the entire world was sparkling. It was stunning. Every twig, berry and blade of grass was coated in ice. Here are a few glimpses from the past three days, that, I might add, do not do Mother Nature justice.
^This is this morning’s sunrise from my parents’ deck.
Most of the following photos are from a Christmas Day walk through a nature area in my home town.

^ I’m assuming this house’s occupants are wintering elsewhere. Like Florida.

^ How freaky are these little things? The ice encapsulation makes these stems look like arteries or blood vessels or something.

And those bottom two photos were also from my parents’ house on Christmas Eve day. While there’s nothing better than a white Christmas, this icy Christmas has been the next best thing.
This is gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing!
