Wow. Just Wow.

Some scenes from Tanner’s last few weeks of high school tennis.
Conference singles champion. District singles champion. Sectional singles champion.
Now he’s headed to the state championships for the fourth time in four years.
What a stunning accomplishment.

Wow, that’s my kid.

I find myself saying that a lot lately. About both of my kids.
And it has nothing to do with their grades or their athletics.
It’s because they’re good people. Unselfish, kind people.
I see it in them every day.
The upper corner photo sums it up.
There’s Drew, hanging on the fence, supporting his little brother  — and Tanner leaning on him.
No competition. No petty rivalry. Just loyalty and love.
I’m thrilled that my kids have realized some success; it’s always nice to see hard work rewarded.
But to be honest, it’s the quality of their characters that make them my heroes.

That, and Drew’s independent fashion sense. (Socks. Topsiders. Not MY idea.)

    1. Thanks so much, Amy! I got so lucky with these two. (Wait until you see some of his other socks. Good grief.) 🙂
