A rooftop garden at the hospital provided a welcome respite during our second chemo treatment today.
Fresh air, a beautiful view, unexpected treasures, rainbows of colors, and…life.
This appointment was much tougher than the last one.
Drew did well with his treatment again today (good news), but several children around us did not.
And boy, did it hurt. I’m simply not used to this.
So when Drew asked me to make a cafeteria run, I jumped — and took a much needed detour.
What a lovely place to escape and regroup.
I don’t know who thought to put a garden on the roof, but they’re my hero today.

Glad Drew did well but sorry it was a tough day. 😦

Thanks, Amy. I don't know how the staff gets used to this. They're amazing.
