And so it begins

This is how we’re choosing to wait out the “winter storm of historic proportions.”
Warm cookies, super cute bully dog napkins, kids on couches, cats on couches, dvd in the player, lots more waiting to be played … not too bad.
We’re also saying lots of prayers that the storm doesn’t knock out our power. The last time we had a mammoth winter storm, we were without electricity for a week. We really, really don’t want to go there this year. But for now, we’re doin’ just fine.

What in the world did you do without electricity for a week? I'm set as long as the power stays on.

  2. I kid you not – it's happened to us three times since moving here. Once was during a heat wave and once was during an ice storm. It was miserable and a little scary. The third time was just frustrating. During the ice storm, we wore lots and LOTS of layers.
