Country Bear Jamboree has finally shed his Easter finery in favor of Halloween gear. The costume originally sported a witch’s hat, but that was lost somewhere between my first sighting and when I was able to take a photo. Wonder if Jamboree is actually a girl? I assumed from the fig leaf pose that Bear was a boy.  No matter what, I still love that they do this.

I miss the lingering daylight of summer, but I love this time of year. Big, fat mums, toothy pumpkin grins, snuggly fleece sweatshirts, sounds of the marching band at the high school football game drifting to my front porch… makes me wanna start looking up new recipes for Thanksgiving.
