See these sweet little boys with their matching clothes*, impish grins and bad haircuts**? These sweet little boys are now big men on campus.*** A senior and a junior in high school. Seriously, when did this happen? I got up bright and early this morning to fix them a breakfast of scrambled eggs, cinnamon rolls and fresh watermelon. After the front door closed behind them and they were on their way, I sat in our quiet house and looked around, trying to land on a specific emotion. That proved to be as useful as groping my way around a dark room for the light switch while bumping into low furniture. So I shrugged, pushed myself up off of the couch and got on with my day. About an hour later, I got a text from Drew. “Mom, one of my teachers is soooo hot.” I actually decided that this was great news. It was more information than I needed, but maybe this way he’ll be more motivated to study. When he got home, he mentioned again how hot his teacher is. But then he added, “And mom, she’s even older than you!” Even older than me?! WOW! Thanks, Drew. Remember the specific emotion I was looking for this morning? Folks, we have a winner. I feel…old.
*their mother didn’t realize at the time how ridiculous this concept really is
**again, their mother didn’t realize at the time that she really should not cut hair
***thankfully without their mother’s fashion influence or use of the clippers

What a cute photo!! Your boys are so funny…at least they are willing to share what they're thinking, right?

Aren't they a mess? Sometimes I'm not so sure I want to know what they're thinking. π

For girls, it's darling at almost any age. Boys, it's cute when they're little. But dressing school-aged boys in the same outfits makes for some cringe-worthy photos later. π
