Guess who’s rebuilding in the office parking garage for the third straight year? Here is a quick glimpse of Mrs. Bird. (Apparently Mr. Bird doesn’t show up until after Mrs. Bird has finished the nest.) 

The Bird Family reminded me of Patrick & Eugene’s “The Birds and the Bees.” The song is cute, but in the video, one of the guys bears a striking resemblance to Rupert from Survivor. Creepy.

But the song stuck in my head? 867-5309. Someone tweeted that this morning and I’ve been humming it ever since. Just to bring everything full circle, not only had Tanner heard of that song, he knew that Tommy Tutone sang it. Wanna know how? The same way he knew at this time last year that building maintenance’s attempts to remove the robins’ nest from my office parking garage was a Federal violation: Family Guy. Tanner just said to me, “Mom, are you actually going to blog about the fact that Family Guy is responsible for more than half of my knowledge?” 

The young man does have a point.
