Day One: Wonderland and Cherry Tree Lane

I think I’ve crammed more in two days than I possibly could’ve imagined. Yesterday was the Alice in Wonderland debut in Times Square, followed by Mary Poppins on Broadway. I’d bought the Alice ticket ahead of time, but Mary Poppins was unexpected. She was on the same block, so I went for it.

Notice the little Sephora sign in the corner? That’s how I spent my time between shows. This is the advantage of a girl going by herself. Forget Starbucks on every block. In New York, there’s a Sephora on every block.

B.B. King’s place was across the street, but I didn’t go. I didn’t want to do that without the boys. By the time I got out of Mary Poppins, it was after 11:00. I was a little worried about walking to the hotel at that hour until I stepped outside. Check out Times Square. It could’ve been 11:00 in the morning and no one would’ve known the difference. It was so bright and people were everywhere.
Check this out. There was weirdness like this all over the place last night. But this guy and a dude dressed as Elmo took the cake. But Batman was really sweet. He put on quite a show.

Laura, this looks like the perfect weekend! I am so glad you went. Do you know if the TB exhibit will go anywhere else?
