Continued transformation

“Small gestures hold immeasurable power. Each smile, kind word, or thoughtful action ripples through the world, creating positive change. Embrace the beauty of simplicity and consider how your small acts of kindness can bring immense joy and warmth to others. In every moment, you have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. Remember, it’s the small gestures that can inspire great transformations.” – @higherperspective, Instagram

A favorite local tradition — graffiti painting festival down by the Arch. I’m a little late posting this, but I’m still enjoying the photos and memories.

What gets me about this festival is that each year, artists paint over their compositions from the year before.

And the more I’ve thought about it, the more profound the life lesson becomes.

Impermanence is one of the more obvious lessons, but I think there’s something more. There’s something to be said for someone putting their best out into the world and not just settling to stand back indefinitely to admire it.

Realizing you have more and new things to contribute to the world.

What a gift.

I think this can be said for good works and kindness, too.

Any act of goodness is great. But if we spend our entire life pointing to that one thing as our great accomplishment, is that really a life that’s been invested well?

Just like these artists are able to say, “I made something beautiful, but I’d like to make something more,” so we can say about contributing good to the world. “I did something small to make a difference, but I’d like to keep making a difference.”

I love that thought.

Little bits of goodness add up…and transform the world.
