Yesterday I was on the fence about the 31-day challenge I stumbled upon and finding one small thing each day that surprised me with joy and delight. I had a good start from my walk yesterday, but I wanted to give it some time.

Then Finn and I went for a walk in the park this evening. And we saw this.

Okay, yeah. I’m in.

Small delights are EVERYWHERE if we allow ourselves to be fully present. This sidewalk chalk piece was just one of many things that gave me pause and a big smile this evening, but it was also the most unusual. So it’s the one I’ll share.
