This video spoke to me in a big and personal way. As an adult transplant to a new city, I found – and continue to find, even years later – it to be very difficult to make friends. My closest friends live hours away, so “let’s go have coffee” isn’t in the realm of possibility. Don’t get me wrong — my life is a very happy one. But it does not stop loneliness from creeping in. Perhaps it does not help that I am very much an introvert at my core. This video made me smile and realize that perhaps I should channel a little bit more of what these children are putting out there. Although I doubt I’ll ask about anyone’s bank balance or why their hair has gone white. Anyway, it’s some very sweet food for thought.
