Been icky, over-the-top sick all week.
Snotty, sneezy, achy, constant-coughy, keep-your-distance, stuck-in-bed, crybaby sick.
But life never ceases to provide smiles and distractions. Like the above photo, for example.
My sister sent this to me. The little guy was born outside her office. I wish I knew who is owed the photo credit, but I believe it is Rhonda from MDC. Apologies for not knowing more.
Then there was this.
Few things in this world say “pure joy” like the Buddha Man’s laugh. He’s like a Muppet.
Then there’s the little cashier at Walgreen’s who now recognizes me as a frequent flyer and greets me with a smile and a sympathetic, “I know how you’re doing.” My unfailingly kind coworkers who have humored my attempts to work in the office for two days, patiently enduring my nonstop hacking. My sweet boys who have run countless errands for me, handed me the remote and watched whatever I picked, tolerated my drinking orange juice from the carton and eating dry cereal from the box… I’m a lucky girl. Even when I’m sick. Especially when I’m sick.
