“We took a walk outside for AP Gov. And got lollipops.
Today is gonna be a good day.”
This is a text that I received from Drew this morning.
Fresh air and lollipops. What more do we really need?
Seriously, I have the best kids.
But the above little lollipop-loving guy is pretty neat, too. I met him tonight while waiting to get my hair trimmed. I watched him as he carefully picked through the treasure chest of lollipops to find the perfect flavor, a reward for being a good boy during his hair cut. He popped the winner in his mouth, came over to me and asked me to pull a Scooby Doo book out of the magazine rack. Then he plopped himself in the chair next to me and flipped through the book, pointing out things that he thought I would appreciate. As I watched this little guy, I couldn’t help but think about Drew and his text from this morning. Wow, my kids might be young and still have an appreciation for lollipops, but it’s been a loooong time since they were this little.
