Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of… What?

As soon as I opened the front door this morning, this little guy went scurrying for safety next door — under Ms. Marge’s car. He jumped up in the fender somewhere and ultimately poked his little nose out from the wheel well. And I was waiting for him.
Then I saw this weirdness across the street from a grocery store not too far from my office. I’ve passed by this place hundreds of times and I’ve never noticed their Wheel on the School thing they’ve got going on atop this place until today. How did I miss that?

Tonight as I watched Tanner play his first round match (tournament this weekend), I sat next to another mother who mentioned that her daughter had dropped her pre-med pursuits to become… a Princess at Disney World. She auditioned, got the part, quit medical school and now plays a Princess. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an awesome gig. But how did she make the leap from stethoscopes to fairy Godmothers? Apparently she loves her job and is passionate about it. That’s really cool. Everyone should be so blessed. But I can’t imagine going from being surrounded by science professionals to being surrounded by theater professionals. Doesn’t seem like it would be a short leap.
