Confession. I have a new television love: Ghost Hunters. (Yeah, I know. I never said I had depth.) I don’t understand the source of my fascination, but I can watch back-to-back-to-back episodes in one sitting. Imagine my excitement when I found out that the show’s season premier includes an investigation of the Lemp Mansion right here in St. Louis. In case you were wondering, it’s already queued up in my DVR. I’ve tried several times to have dinner at Lemp Mansion, but for one reason or another, it’s never worked out. After Ghost Hunters wrapped up last night, a show that I’ve never seen did an investigation of something I have visited: the Paulding Mystery Light in Watersmeet, Michigan. We saw the mystery light a few times during last summer’s trip to the Upper Peninsula. I was amused with the show for making the investigation seem SO dramatic, but I am happy to report that the “team” could not debunk a darn thing. The light appears every night without explanation. I’m not advocating ghosts or anything like that, but some businesses in the area might suffer if someone finds an explanation. But the mystery continues, so all is well.
It was so much fun going through our old UP trip photos for this post. *sigh* I hope so much to go back up there one of these days. Above are a few of my favorite photos from the trip.
On a random note, when I visited my old blog to grab the link from mystery light post, there was a banner ad for these. Yes, I want.
