Vanilla Peppermint cupcakes in super cute ruffled liners. I have no idea how these turned out, but vanilla extract coupled with peppermint extract sure was a lot easier on the smeller than the lime juice for the margarita cupcakes. I really didn’t have a reason for making these beyond the fact that I found a new recipe. But after browsing through the news, I figured out that these could be used to celebrate National Zoo Keeper Week 2010. I didn’t know that such an observation existed, but I’m more than happy to raise a cupcake in honor of one of the coolest professions there is. Especially panda keepers. You are my favorite. Big cat and lemur keepers, you’re also pretty cool. Primate and reptile keepers, well, I think you’re nuts (smell, slither, respectively), but props to you, too.
