I can only imagine that this is what the Yankee Candle factory was going for when they started making lilac candles. The boys and I walked through these rows of lilac bushes when we ate lunch outside at Queeny Park today. Most of the time I just wanted to stop, close my eyes and breathe it in. This was the highlight of a lovely weekend. Spring cleaning has resulted in a shiny, squeaky house and it’s given us all a happy boost. It’s amazing how a few inexpensive rugs, towels and sheet sets can make things seem fresh and new. Small things make such a huge difference. 

Big kudos to my big brother who ran the half marathon here in St. Louis today in a time that was his personal best. Lots of hard work and training paying off big for you. On to Boston…
