I was asked to make some “large, hippie-type” earrings based on a design from an overpriced (but really beautiful – wow!) catalog. I had so much fun making the first pair that I made a second pair. I’ll be interested to see which pair she chooses.
And Murphy camped out on my bed while I worked. Cracked me up — he blended with the blanket.
Before I started playing with beads, I found some of the neatest stuff during my morning reading:
- This exhibit at the Jewish Museum sounds wonderful. Who knew that Curious George had such an fascinating background?
- Also from the New York Times, a fun interview with Moby. The Doggie Tao was too funny — and so true.
- An entire blog post about a 1977 JC Penney catalog. Actually it’s a three-part blog, but the first post had me laughing out loud even after I was finished reading it. Omigosh, this guy is hysterical.
