When the kids were little, if you hid a toy and reintroduced it later, it was like giving them a brand new toy. As it turns out, the same thing happens with the cats. This Ikea cat house (uncovered from basement storage) made Violet uncharacteristically bonkers this afternoon. 

Trying not to think about the fact that the weekend is already over. Instead, here are some thoughts of gratitude for things such as:

– I finished and filed my taxes today. (Whew.)

– We bought Fruit Stripe gum today for the first time in years. (Still loses flavor in 10 seconds, but it rocks.)

– Federer not only won the Australian, he took down Murray. In straight sets. (That’s a double scoop.)

– A new Chinese place opened up a ways west of here. And this is their company car. (It’s love.)
