Another tennis tournament brought another trip over to Illinois this weekend. But I got to drive through the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows again, which is always a good thing. I left my beloved Canon in the car and opted to play with my iPhone camera (above photos) and my little Holga. The Holga is a Chinese plastic toy camera that I gave myself for Christmas (from the boys). It’s so weird because it is entirely manual and requires film. There is no quality control whatsoever and because there isn’t any playback, I have no idea how the images will turn out. So we’ll see what happened after I drop the film off at the lab on Monday.

I guess there was a daycare at the tennis club because a steady stream of gabby, fidgety little bodies kept trotting by. One little girl caught my attention because I heard her say, “It was a cold and tasty night.” …..whuh? The funniest part was that her little friend (maybe three or four years old) seemed to know exactly what she meant. She was nodding her head and saying, “Mmm hmm.” Okay….
