Check out this little car! A 1957 BMW Isetta. I’d never seen one before, so I pulled into the classic car dealership on the way back from lunch when I caught a glimpse from the road. I had total Addam’s Family flashbacks of Cousin It’s little car. How wickedly cool is this thing?

It only has one door — on the front of the car!

I don’t know who the “me” is that this car was “built especially for,” but I hope that he or she didn’t have any ideas about having passengers. I can’t imagine fitting more than one person in this little thing. The engine is only one cylinder. BMW only made just over 161,000 of these back in the 50s and 60s, which probably explains today’s asking price of $40,600.

Not much in the way of leg room, but it is really neat. Typically, I’m not a car person, but this was 700 pounds of pure happy — and I loved it.
