Sesame Street turns 40 today! Many happy returns to one of the coolest addresses ever. I grew up with the neighborhood, so did my kids. One of my life’s best memories is from the time my mom and I took my (then itty bitty) kids to see Sesame Street Live as a a birthday gift for Drew. There was a drawing at intermission for three 3-foot tall Elmo toys. As you probably already guessed from the photo, we took one home. Drew’s name was the last one drawn. Out of the thousands of little kids running around Hearnes that night, our little man was chosen. I can still remember watching Drew lug that big, red fur ball to the car…his arm curled around Elmo’s neck, with the legs and feet dragging behind him.
