I can’t believe I forgot to include my favorite photo in yesterday’s post.

This was taken with my phone’s Hipstamatic app. I’ve been using this app for years now, and over time, I’ve accumulated tons of lenses, films and flashes. Probably too many, because I don’t play around much with it any more. I just stick with the same settings every time because the results are reliable. But I discovered something fun yesterday. Turns out, when you shake your phone, the app picks random settings for you. Suddenly you have a new lens/film combination for an entirely different look.

The above photo was the result of the shake of my phone.

Ohhh….magic.

I never would’ve picked this combination on my own. And I never would’ve gotten this outcome. Don’t get me wrong, not all of the photos I took through this method were attractive. But it sure was fun to play.
